2007 Reading Festival
"Yahoo for Little Book-A-Roos"

Area children explore the world of music while visiting the Kindermusik booth at the 2007 Reading Festival.

Over 1700 community members joined us on October 20 for the 2007 Reading Festival, "Yahoo for Little Book-A-Roos!" Highlights of this year's event included:

• Appearances by Clifford the Big Red Dog, Curious George, Buddy the Bird and the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders
• A visit from the Zoo-mobile and a puppet show by Siouxland Libraries
• A free book for every child attending the event

Children had the opportunity to use their creativity at the various booths by coloring, stamping, and discovering educational toys and musical instruments. The children let their imaginations run wild as they explored the books "Where the Wild Things Are," "We're Going on a Bear Hunt," and "If You Give a Pig a Pancake."

The Reading Festival began in 2001 as part of the Ready to Read initiative and the Success by 6 initiative.
